SMS Opt-In Disclosure

Headquartered (headquartered.app)

This page documents how end users consent to receive text messages from Headquartered (appointment, estimate, and invoice notifications and replies). Consent is collected through two methods, described below with the exact language used.

1. Web form opt-in

Customers opt in on the public booking page at headquartered.app/book/headquartered — after selecting a service and appointment time, the “Your details” step collects their phone number next to a consent checkbox that is unchecked by default.

The exact checkbox text, as rendered on the booking form:

I agree to receive service-related text messages (appointment, estimate, and invoice notifications and replies) from Headquartered at the number provided. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Consent is optional — checking the box is never required to book — and is recorded with a timestamp when the form is submitted.

2. Verbal opt-in

When a customer phones the business, staff follow this script before enrolling them in text messages:

“As part of our service, we can send you text messages about your appointments, estimates, and invoices, and replies to your calls or texts. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply depending on your phone plan. You can reply HELP to any message for help, or STOP at any time to opt out. Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are at headquartered.app/terms and headquartered.app/privacy. Would you like to receive these text messages — yes or no?”

If the customer says yes, staff confirm enrollment before any message is sent. Consent is never a condition of purchase.

3. Standard disclosures
